What this site provides

Vibrato publishes music theory lessons, a chord library and the engraved stave and fretboard figures that go with them. Everything here is for study and reference. We do not run a certificated course and we are not affiliated with any examination board.

Practice suggestions and durations given in lessons are general rules of thumb. They are not professional advice about your own technique, hand condition or instrument. If you have a hand injury, a hearing condition, or you are in music therapy, consult the relevant professional.

Intellectual property

The lesson text, the study-path structure, the stave excerpts and the fretboard diagrams are original work by Vibrato and are protected by copyright. You may print or save pages for personal study, and you may quote up to two paragraphs in teaching material with credit and a link back.

You may not republish the site in bulk, use it to train commercial models, or redistribute the diagrams as your own assets.

No warranty

We work to keep every definition, fingering and interval number correct, but the site is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy.

Your equipment affects what you actually hear, and textbooks differ slightly in how they name the same device. Where your teacher or your set textbook disagrees with us, follow them.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the use of, or inability to use, this site.

Third-party links

We link to external sites from time to time. We are not responsible for their content, availability or accuracy, and a link is not an endorsement.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change we update this page and the date at the top. Continued use of the site means you accept the revised terms.
